Lesson Nine – Weights / Measures

This wall is high, its height is eight meters.

The other wall is low, its height is only one meter.

The first wall is higher than the second.

The second wall is lower than the first.

I measure this table.

Its measure is two meters long and one meter wide.

This sack is heavy

It weighs thirty kilograms.

It weigh it by a balance.

A kilogram wieghs a thousand grams.

I have sack in which there are twenty five kilos of rice.

The cloths measure is eight meters.

The apples wiegh three kilos.

How far is it from your house to the factory?

Only three hundred meters.

How far is between London and Paris ?

Ninety kilometers

There are one hundred centimeters in one meter.

There are one thousand meters in one kilometer.

The ruler is under the book.

My ruler is long.

Your pencil is short.

I shall buy one kilo of potatoes.
